Horse Rug Clean and Repairs

Offering a professional horse rug, washing, reproofing and repair service.

  • Free collection for 5 rugs or more, within 15 mile radius of Molland - but please ring as we can discuss if you are further.

  • Nikwax wash and reproof products are used to ensure a quality finish

  • All rugs are air dried to avoid any shrinkage

  • All rugs are supplied back in clear heavy duty plastic bags - ready for storage

  • 7 day turnaround as standard - but please ask if you have an urgent requirement and I’ll do my best to accommodate

I am also happy to wash anything else you don’t want to put in your domestic machine, such as dog beds, travelling boots and numnahs - please ask for prices.

Wash & Reproof Pricing

Wash only - standard or combo £11.50 per rug

Proof - standard or combo £9.50 per rug

Fleeces and Mesh Fly rugs £9.50 per rug

I do not charge extra if the rug has a neck, and I do not charge extra for separate necks as these are washed at the same time as the rug.

Repairs Pricing

Prices vary from rug to rug, depending on the extent and nature of the repair. I work on a time and materials basis, rather than per patch or strap as I have found this to be cheaper for the customer.

 

Repairs will only be undertaken on clean rugs. Damaged rugs are washed at the owners risk as Luxton Leatherwork cannot be held responsible for further damage caused by washing already damaged rugs.​ I use only quality fabrics and fittings for my repairs. If your rug is already washed and reproofed I use a silicone spray to reproof any stitch holes on outdoor rugs so they remain waterproof.

Payment and Delivery

Payment for all rugs/items is expected upon completion or delivery. You will be notified when your rugs are ready. If any rugs are not collected, or delivery organised and paid for within three months of this notification / date of invoice - then I reserve the right to sell the rugs/items to reclaim any costs which have been incurred in maintaining your rugs/items  under the Interference with Goods Act 1977.

 

Cash, BACS, cheque or card payments are accepted.
