About Carol

My passion has always been horses. A childhood spent riding, grooming, mucking out and generally living my life outdoors in the stables has always guided where I wanted my career to go.

 

I own a couple of show cobs that I compete at all levels. I’ve been very lucky to have had some great horses and ponies that have taken me all over the country competing.

 

I’ve been privileged to ride at the Horse of the Year Show, Olympia International, Royal International, Gatcombe Horse Trials, and, have show jumped at Hickstead. I also enjoy hunting and shooting, when time allows!

 

I started up Luxton Leatherworks in 2019 after working in the saddlery industry for 25 years, and absolutely love what I do! Most people that know me, know I have a side kick ‘helping’ with the business - my miniature dachshund Chipz. She is chief meet & greet to customers in my workshop and by my side every day.
