Welcome to Luxton Leatherwork
I’m Carol, and - based in my workshop in North Devon, I offer a full leather repair service and new bespoke designs. I hand cut, prepare and hand stitch everything – using only the finest quality English leather and fittings.
I pride myself on quality craftmanship so that your leatherwork will be durable, and properly finished to the highest standard.
Equine leatherwork and repairs
As an experienced horse woman, I have over 25 years experience working
in the leather industry.
I offer a full repair service for all equine leather products - bridles, saddles, stirrup leathers and even riding boots! If your saddle needs a complete reflock, or a simpler padding up I will ensure your saddle is brought back to a comfortable and safe standard.
I also create new bespoke horse riding leather gear from scratch - please get in touch and we can have a chat about your requirements.
Take a look at the Equine leatherwork page for a gallery of my work.

Accessories and repairs
I’ve enjoyed branching out into leather accessories - handbags, belts etc, over the last few years. Using finest quality English leather and fittings, I look to create items that are unique, fun and most important of all, durable and desirable!
